Just in case you are getting a little tired of looking at the many pictures of the frozen lakeside of Geneva (especially since I still have one more entry to share on it) … I thought that maybe I would give all of you a break and instead share a little teaser entry on the very interesting (but also very tiring) excursion that we did yesterday … to another lake.
And as indicated in the title header … we actually spent the whole of yesterday afternoon … ON the lake.
Not along the lake … or by the lakeside … but literally ON the lake itself!! And certainly not on any boat (big or small) on the lake either … but just us … walking on the lake!
In case you think I am pulling your leg … I can assure you that I am not!
We did spend yesterday … having a nice looong walk … on the lake!
Now, how is that possible, you might think?
Well … the answer is simple.
It is of course possible to be on a lake … without having to be on a boat or whatever that keeps you afloat …
… when it is …
… in winter …
… and …
… the lake is frozen solid lah! hehehe …
So … until I have more time to share the rest of the photos that we took at Lac de Joux … here are photos to show you that we were out ON the lake … which is not a small one, as you can see from the photo … for 4 hours, yesterday! I was so tired that I was literally dragging my feet by the time we reached the other end of the lake!
That’s me walking slowly but steadily across Lac de Joux. The start point is on the far left, below the curved white line of snow.
And the hubby walking in front of me … but sometimes behind me, too!
As you can see ... it is not a small lake indeed … and took hours for us to cross from one end to the other end, mainly because we stopped many times to take photos (as usual!;)).
Except for one other couple that we met on what we thought was the half-way point of the lake and whom we asked how long it would take to reach the other end (only to be told that we had not even reached the middle of the lake, yet!) … we were the only ones doing that long walk through the full length of Lac de Joux yesterday afternoon!

Glad to hear you love seeing those photos. But in case some others are getting tired of seeing Geneva frozen lakeside, I thought better share another frozen lake that we visited- But there are more photos of Geneva frozen lakeside coming up. Jangan sampai muak sudah! hehehe … Okay, start menabung from now so that you can walk2 and eat fresh cool air in Switzerland!
No! Not at all. Infact I love to see those photos. Amazing. Make me want to have a few Tabung Ayam to save some money to go walk-walk eat air. hahaha. One find day, with my Lumix GX-1
